Problem Installing MS SQL Server 2000 on windows 2003

Hi all,
I have tried installing MS SQL server 2000 on windows 2003 many a times. I
get an error - " Setup Failed to configure the server".
The resolution mentioned in this url
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;816499 did not help.
Please let me know what is the cause of this error and how to resolve this

That article pertains to MSDE - are you installing MSDE?
What MSDE previously installed on the server? What errors
are in the setup logs - check the files Setup.log and
sqlstp.log
